Fly Fishing the Guadalupe

I had a site meeting for the Lance Armstrong Foundation project in Austin on Tuesday and decided to stop and do a little Fly Casting on my way back home. Beautiful day, clear skies, clearer water, low 70's, and a lot of peace and quiet. Let's just say I got a lot of casting practice in - but the guy in the lower picture caught a nice 16" rainbow.
.
For those who don't know - The Gudalupe river is the only river in the state of Texas that is stocked with trout. The reason is that canyon lake has an extremely tall dam that allows for extremely deep water in the lake at the base of the dam - the result is extremely cold water at the release point capable of sustaining a small trout population.
