Last weekend Ryan started demolition on Chichester. It is amazing how things can go to crazy town so quickly. As an update, the kitchen is gone, bathroom gone, wall between dining and living room gone. We've always known the house was built very solid however when Ryan went to taking walls out we realized how solid. All of the interior walls are built with exterior wood planks. Thick suckers. This makes taking down a wall a much bigger chore than usual. However it means the house is extra sturdy, thankfully.
bye bye nasty light blocking curtains in the living room...
Kitchen:
Cabinets taken down and saved for use in the new storage building/man land in the backyard. We donated all the appliances to the salvation army. This house actually came with appliances unlike our first reno, Retama.
Close up of the wallpaper in the kitchen. This wallpaper was found under the plaster...
One Happy Camper taking a break..
Four layers of wallpaper in the kitchen
Happy Camper #2
Backyard storage building, it was nasty and a little creepy..

Check out the form on that baseball swing!
We are reusing boards from the white picket fence we are taking down in the backyard. The boards will be reused for Ryan's storage building/man land to be built in the back
Sorry it has taken me all week to post these pics. I promise to be a much better poster in the coming weeks. Today Ryan and Brandon are at the house pulling up carpet and possibly starting on the framing. BTW, dumpster was delivered Monday : ) you know it's a true reno when there's a dumpster in the front yard...
