Carrots

Ava's first food was carrots and she seemed to love them! At first she wasn't so sure but then she started to really enjoy them. I have been preparing her baby food myself and it is super easy. So far we have tried carrots and zucchini, she absolutely loves zucchini.

Library Day

Last week before we headed to the Library I snapped a few shots of Ava. She was so happy and moving so much a lot of the pictures are blurry but I thought they were a good way to show everything how active she is. She is a girl on the move!

To explain, the veggies are from our neighbor. It is a perk to live next door to a lovely older couple who have their own farm south of town. We have received brocolli, cabbage, turnips and all kinds of stuff from them. Judy and Floyde Burnside are just the sweetest! They have 3 grandaughters that live in Dallas so they know all about little girls. They love to love on Ava every chance they get : )

The up close picture of Ava is when I was trying to get a picture of her first tooth. I noticed today in Costco that she has another one! TWO TEETH! She just smiled up at me this big gummy smile and low and behold a second tooth! It was like she was showing it off to me. These days are so wonderful...

Oh and this one picture is Ava giving me the "Daddy" look. I needed proof that she gave me the Ryan look pretty much since birth...haha!

Ava's first time in a swing (solo)

Every week I take Ava to baby music time at the local library. It is possibly my favorite time of the week. We have been going since she was just 3 months old. Afterwards we got outside to visit with the other Mommas and babies. Ava has found a new friend, Cameron. Cameron is about 6 weeks older than Ava and was swinging in the baby swings. Of course I thought Ava was too little but once she turned 6 months old I thought hey let's try it. I sat Ava down in the swing and she loved it! The entire time she starred at her friend Cameron who was swinging next to her. I am sure the two girls were laughing at their Momma's and thinking something like...aren't these two Women crazy, of course we are big enough to swing!

Happy Easter

I took Ava to a clothing boutique here in town and had her picture made with a few bunnies. We had the BEST time! At the beginning of the photo session the bunnies just sat still which was good. All of the sudden Ava picked up a bunny and started swinging him around! I about had a heart attack! I could not believe she could even pick one up much less swing him back and forth. Not to worry, the bunny was okay. After that incident Ava was much more interested in the bunnies than smiling for the camera. It is a memory I will surely never forget : )
