Last week we went to Mallory's sports banquet at her high school. She really didn't want to take these pictures but when she is 30 and looks back she will be glad we did :)

Garner Trip
A while back we went to Garner state park for the day...it was wonderful and nobody was there! We almost had the whole park to ourselves.

The mighty palm...and book club
The picture above is a little blurry but I wanted to post it anyway. Friday night I hosted book club at our home. Everything went great! We had 10 girls here and the food turned out very yummy. I made for the first time, hamburger sliders with jalapeno and cheddar cheese. I used Sister Schubert's frozen rolls for the mini buns. I also served tomato and mozzarella pasta, spinach salad with berries and New Age drink cocktail. If you haven't heard of it, New Age wine is the new greatest thing. It is a white wine from Argentina that you serve over ice with key lime. It tastes similar to a margarita but not anywhere close to the calories. I served it with key lime and blueberries and it looked similar to a white sangria. Yummo! For the non drinkers I made homemade strawberry lemonade. Oh, and I served banana pudding for dessert!
Picture above is the mighty palm we were given by Ryan Grandad Leon. The palm made the trip from Deer Park very well and seems to be adjusting to it's new home. The plants in the back of this picture look a little bad but they are just coming back from the Winter. The palm fits perfect in this new spot! Thank you again Leon!
This is a madevilla (sp?) that Ryan planted close to the fence. I LOVE these vines and they grow very fast and very hardy. I am ready for it to take over the back fence!
