Progress

I am posting over my lunch break because so much has been happening at the house.

Last night Ryan finished up the moulding in the guest bathroom. Man I love it! I had shown him a picture of what I liked and waala (not sure how to spell that) it appears in our bathroom....

This morning before work we ran over there to get the vanity in place for the plumber. There is a lot going on at the house today. The plumber is there getting the guest bath up and running, setting up the washer/dryer and installing the hot water heater. It will be amazing to be able to use an indoor restroom at the house instead of a port a potty.

Also our cabinet maker is there today and has started installing the cabinets. He is working on Ryan's desk first then probably the kitchen will be started tomorrow. Things are moving!

Our wood floors are finished! They turned out beautiful...

A little dirty from dust/dirt but nothing a little murphy's oil soap won't fix : )

Haley's Birthday Party

This weekend we celebrated Haley's first Birthday! I think she had a blast even though she wasn't too sure what to think about the cake...

shower

This is the rest of the shower. We saved money and did basic white tiles but jazzed them up with the small accent pieces. The mosaic tiles we got for a $1.50 each on clearance! That's over 75% off! Love a bargain!

Wood floor guys will sand the whole house today and stain will go on the floors tomorrow. We are getting closer and closer....

Guest Bathroom

Tile work began yesterday on the guest bathroom. Here is the shower, the mosaics are on the shower head wall. Sorry for the bad picture, all I had was my camera phone. My other camera must be packed up somewhere...

Goodbye apartment!

The apartment served it purpose and I am glad to see it go! We got moved this weekend and are living with Mom, Darren and Mallory for a week.

Unfortunately we are about a week and a half behind at the house, this week the wood floors will be sanded and finished. Next week our kitchen cabinets will be installed. Today our tile guy started on the guest bathroom. He should be able to lay it all in a day and then grout it later this week. Things are moving!

This past week I hit the motherload of boxes at Walmart. It sure did help to have those...

Delivery of DG

Last week we had our decomposed granite delivered. The first attempt they couldn't make it because it was too wet and the truck was slipping everywhere on the black clay. The second attempt was iffy but they made it! We are going to put the DG in the back yard along the house line and around the A/C. We had this stuff at our last house and I love it! Sounds great under your feet...
