Hallway Lights

I am in love with the Cottage Living Idea House 2008. In that house they had lighting from Circa. I love everything they carry. Unfortunately they are extremely expensive. I thought I might have found a loop hole when I discovered they offered trade discounts. Well, that big discount was 10% for architects. I needed more like 50% .

So, I've been on the hunt for these lights from other sources. Found them at the Pottery Barn outlet for less than a 1/3 of the original cost! Can't imagine renovating without living so close to the outlets....

Guest Bathroom Vanity

A few months ago Ryan and I saw this vanity at Pottery Barn outlet and liked it and were going to go back the next day and get it. Well, it was already sold! So, we have been shopping and looking for a guest bathroom vanity for the past 2 maybe 3 months.

Then it happened, I walked into the outlet and there it was again!!! Needless to say I was very excited and purchased it quickly!

Vet Visit

Well, yesterday Chase ate a whole pan of brownies. Extra chocolate brownies! I took him to the vet and they had to give him medicine to throw up everything he had eaten. A few hours later the Vet said he was great and ready to go home. As soon as he walked in the door he went straight to his treats, guess he was feeling better : )

Sissybelle's last Junior High game

Last night was Mallory's last junior high basketball game. BRING ON HIGH SCHOOL! She had a great game and played the best game I've ever seen her play. And believe me, I've seen a lot of her basketball games. They won the final game against Medina Valley. They only lost one game the entire season to Kerrville, the first game of the year.

Check out Mallory's straight pearly whites! She got her braces off this week, still has a retainer but no braces! As this picture shows I am still taller, even though she doesn't believe it...

Rodeo Volunteer

Yesterday I volunteered at the Rodeo to help raise money for Ag scholarships. Every year a group of Realtors help serve and prepare food at the fajitas and rib corral. It was cold and rainy but felt good to raise money for kids to go off to school. Behind us the sign says, Eat some BBQ and send a kid to college!

Shingles Crew

Last weekend Mallory, Mom and Darren came over to help us install cedar shingles on the house. It was great to have extra hands to help. On top of that Mallory earned some service hours for National Junior Honor Society. It's a slow process so we will be continuing this weekend.

Doctor's Visit

Well, last week we had to go to the doc. Ryan had a small incident with a drill falling from a ladder and we were worried about tetnus. So that night off we went to the clinic. While we were there I thought I might as well get a flu shot. The nurse I had was the best shot giver ever! He was awesome! Ryan was lucky to have him too when he got his tetnus shot. The doc looked over Ryan's knee and everything was okay and we got the shot just in case. Never a dull moment in renovating!
