Lemon Tree
These are a few of the lemons from my lemon tree. Last year for Valentine's Day Ryan bought me a lemon tree. I have wanted one forever! It takes about 9 months for the tree to make a lemon but they sure are good!
Running speaker wire
Seriously? This pic cracks me up. To the right of Chase is our old house, to the left is the new.
Our new door hardware. It's a little hard to see in the picture. Will try to take better pics later.
Newspaper findings
We found this old newspaper in the garage at our new house. The date is October 1978! Before I was born! Ryan was 6 months old.
Check out the above picture "Camelot features 9% rates on selected addresses." Can you imagine if rates were 9% now???

Cold Weather
Ryan has made it back from Miami and had a great trip. It has been freezing cold in SA which is pretty rare for us, especially for this long!
The house is coming along. The Plumber (Paul) started last week and so things are moving in that direction. We are using pex plumbing and it is a little bizarre looking. The pipes look like hula hoops before they are installed.
Yesterday Ryan and I sealed all the new doors. The color came out a little too peachy so we are going to try and go darker this weekend.
This week will be the week of ordering/buying. We've got to get our champagne bubble bathtub ( I can't wait for that!), plumbing fixtures and a few light fixtures left to buy.
I turned in our apartment move out notice last week. For better or worse our last day at the apartment will be March 8th. I will be so glad to write that last rent check : )

Deleted Pictures
Well, I had new pictures of the house with the roof and windows in...but somehow they deleted when copying to my computer. I will be back by the house today and will take more pictures to upload tonight....
Progress:
Windows were installed last week and the roofer is finished. This week Ryan goes back to his day job. Needless to say he would much rather be on the job site. Maybe his work trip to Miami will make things better : )
The doors are going in today. I can't wait to see the front door installed! It is a large door with two full glass sidelights. Also this week Mario (framer) and his crew will skirt the house and possibly put up our hardi siding. The hardi siding was a project we were going to work on this weekend but the cops changed our plans. More on that later....
