30th Surprise Birthday Party!!!

Ryan threw a surprise Birthday party for me last week. It was GREAT! I was totally surprised~he sent out save the date evites to all my friends. Above is my beautiful cake, only from the best...Le Cake.

The party was at Valentino's, my FAV place here in San Antonio. It is small, quaint and the owner comes to your table to say hello. It is located in Olmos Park, just a short drive from where we live. We had happy hour here with all our friends then went to Bistro Vatel for a "just the two of us" dinner. The food was amazing...hey ,maybe 30 isn't so bad afterall....

House Update

Just got word that the new appraisal completed on our house came in at asking price! Thank goodness!!! Where was this appraiser 6 weeks ago? I had a good feeling about the new appraiser and thankfully he came through for us. It is amazing how one person can make or break a deal.

So, now we have to get the new appraised value through FHA. That could be somewhat of a hurdle but I am having good vibes about it.

New renovation project here we come!!! (Hopefully)

Farmer's Market

We've got a great farmer's market close to our house, at Pearl Brewery. For info click here: http://www.pearlfarmersmarket.com/. This morning Ryan and I stopped by and I picked up a bouquet of beautiful summer zinnas. Don't you just love zinnas? I have tried to grow them but don't have enough sun in my backyard. I guess that's really a good thing since all the shade helps the grass during this drought that is south Texas....man some days I miss the good east Texas rains!

Mallory's Basketball Tournament

Last weekend while Ryan was fishing I co-hosted a baby shower and attend Mallory's tournament here in town. I must say she played amazing. At the end of one of her games Mallory drained three 3 pointers back to back within a minute of play. It was completely insane!!! I was going crazy!!! In all my years of watching basketball I have never seen something quite like that, simply awesome. GO SISSYBELLE!!!

Oh, in case some of you think Mallory looks as tall as me in this pic you would be mistaken. She isn't yet...jk...she really is...and we wear the same size shoe. In the pic of the two of us excuse the way we look, Mallory had just finished 5 basketball games...and I had just sat through them in a NON-AIR CONDITIONED gym! I didn't even know they had those anymore! Urgh...

Girls Weekend

A few weekend ago all the girls in my family got together for our annual "Girls Weekend." We had a blast staying at my Auntie's in Henderson. Here is a pic of me and my second cousin Haley, making her girls weekend debute...

Diaper Cake
