We've got another offer in on our house. The potential buyers are a young couple and seem to be very excited about the house. We have agreed to a price so now all we have to do is wait for appraisal and financing. We will keep you posted!
Also, we put an offer in on another house yesterday. It's a 2/1, 65+ years old and has 9 foot ceilings, in the Alamo Heights school district. Since it's a 2/1 we will be doing an addition. Ryan is already fast at work on the plans. It is amazing how he can change the feel of a house so easily. I have been watching this house for a while and they just lowered the price last week. Keep your fingers crossed!

Cabbage
Eating healthy can be hard, but much easier knowing a baby is growing! As most of you know veggies are not on my top 10 (heck top 100) list of favorite foods. However last week we received my blood test results and the doctor said, "I can tell you must eat a lot of spinach." After Ryan finished falling out of his chair laughing I told the doctor my eating habits have changed for the good. I still don't like broccoli, carrots or most any of that stuff but I choke it down. Ryan has been helping with cooking a lot lately and I really appreciate it. Last night he cooked a whole head of cabbage, YUMM-O is all I have to say. More like BARF-O. Managed to eat it, this baby will enter this earth loving his/her veggies!

I give you... BABY JONES!
Jennifer and I are extremely excited and nervous but couldn't wait to share our good news with everyone.
We are only 8 weeks along at this point and Jennifer is doing a great job of keeping mom and baby healthy! It is a little too early to be certain of a due date, but it will be sometime at the end of January.
For those of you not experienced at looking at sonograms - Baby Jones is the smaller circle immediately next to the YS on the photograph. He/She is about the size of a cranberry and should have a heartbeat the next time we go to the doctor on June 23rd.
Please keep Baby Jones in your prayers.

Monday's Must Have!
Sorry it has been a while since I have posted a Monday's Must Have but it's been busy around here....
Here ya go!
I am trying to cut back my diet coke habit and have found a great way to do it. HEB sells sparking flavored water in many varieties. They are great! There is no sugar, no caffeine, and only 5 mg of sodium. All in all, a great alternative to coke and a little more fun than just plain water. Target also sells the sparkling water, my fav is tangerine lime!
House Update
We have hit somewhat of a snag on the sell of our house. The lender for the buyer had the house appraised last week and the value according to him came in below the contract agreed upon price. The buyer is going through a Veterans home loan and they notoriously appraise homes low because the bank offers 100% financing. Basically the bank is covering their behind and making the buyer put something down on the house. Another interesting note, the appraiser compared our house to others that did not have near the updates/renovations we do. I have never really understood appraisals....
So, with all this being said we are waiting to hear what the buyer has decided to do. We are praying that he decides to buy our house anyway because I really want to move to the new house. However, we can stay in our house and still be great. Ryan has been so "zen" about the whole situation. I am trying to learn from him : )
Will keep everyone posted...should hear something this week because closing is supposed to be June 12th.
